AOL for some reason does now allow the proboards mail to go through.  You need the activation key in that mail to activate your account.  Here are two fixes I was told to get around that but I had someone try the first one and said it still did not work so you might want to opt for the second one...

 

1. Put proboards on your buddy list and in your aol address book.  Put Proboards as the buddy name and nobody@proboards.com as the address.
I haven't actually tried it to see if it does work. I just know that AOL states that nothing will be stopped if on the buddy list. But I do suggest putting it in the address book as well. And maybe adding it on the buddy list twice, once as Proboards and once as Nobody.

2. If that does not work then you can go to www.hotmail.com or www.yahoo.com and get a free e-mail account there. Use that e-mail when signing up.
